So I have this friend who came up with a really great idea for girls to try and feel empowered and liberated from all the pressure we feel in society to look a certain way. Basically, she suggested that we should all try giving up makeup next Wednesday (May 2nd) and just have a day celebrating our natural beauty together as women. Fashion on Film: Pan Am
Ok, so you know the drill. Basically any movie or TV show set in the 1960s or thereabouts is a sure fashion hit for me and Pan Am is no exception. Following the lives of four Pan Am stewardesses, this show captures the glitz and glamour of their worldly adventures as well as all the shenanigans they get themselves into. In terms of the fashion everything about the costumes screams of ladylike sophistication with the odd fun and playful outfit thrown in (usually thanks to Maggie’s character), and I even find myself dying to have their gorgeous Pan Am uniforms! Finally, even the details are fantastic, with beautiful accessories, hair and makeup
